Black Student Union to Teach-In: Way Too Little, Way Too Late   1 comment

Outside UCSD Price Center. After the walkout, demonstrators chant.

The BSU decided that the UCSD administration was content with a culture of institutional marginalizing of minorities. They therefore ordered a walkout on the teach-in and marched to the price center stairs to have their real teach in. I was hoping for such a thing, recognizing the administration’s incompetence and apathy in increasing diversity at UCSD. They are damn right about that. They haven’t changed, they haven’t responded. They were slow, and they were reluctant. These people are way too pissed off and have too complete an understanding for such reticence. It’s loud out here and it’s lively. It’s not a stupid Fee hike walkout crowd. This is a real walkout. The institutionalized racism and structural discrimination are at issue now. Strong, focused, move.

  1. You real can’t take these uneducated UCSD white trailer trash anywhere. This is what happens when more than one of these guys puts their minds together.

Oh, where exactly was a speech going on? Thats right, no where, but keep plucking that chicken.

Or as carri said “It’s a plot by the fundamentalist rightwing party of tyranny called Republicans. They foment hate, they sneer, they make excuses for their behavior and blame everyone else. They advocate the supremacy of their America – a lily-white America. They are scared and frightened becuase (gasp) a black man has been elected to the White House. They are losing conrol and like cornered animals, they are lashing out. This is the national leadership from whom these studants take their cues.”
